The Exorcist was published in 1971 and released as a film in 1973, spawning one of the most pervasive sub-genres of horror to this day, with every variation you could possibly imagine on the exorcism story.
Launching in the year of the film’s 50th anniversary, I plan to trace the whole of The Exorcist series, with some minor diversions, from its real life origins through to its recent additions. Updates every two weeks.
